VIDEO: Stampin' Up! Bright & Beautiful Diagonal Panel Card Tutorial

We were lucky to have Stampin' Up! DDM (Demonstrator Development Manager) Shannon West join our team meeting on Zoom in April. I was inspired by Shannon's message of sharing our love of cardmaking with others to spread joy and make a difference. I was also so inspired by Shannon's demonstration of this fun fold card! I couldn't wait to try it out this Diagonal Panel Card! I love that you can get two cards from one sheet of cardstock!

I created this Bright & Beautiful version for a recent episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie. Mom and I shared project ideas using the new Beautiful Balloons Bundle -- which is perfect for birthdays, but also any celebration!

Diagonal Panel Card Card Measurements

• 8-1/2" x 11" Cardstock
• mark at 3" on each of the short sides and then cut diagonally
• score at 4-1/4" and 7-7/8"
• 2-7/8" x 3-3/4" Basic White Cardstock (front)
• 3-3/8" x 4-1/2" Designer Paper
• 3-3/8" x 4-1/2" Basic White Cardstock (inside)
• 4" x 5-1/4" Designer Paper

Here are the cards that I created during the live video. Which one is more your stamping style? Leave a comment and let me know! I chose to make cards using designer paper that I hadn't used yet! 

The first card uses Les Shoppes Designer Paper. Since I don't have the coordinating stamp set and dies, I relied on imagery from the designer paper for my focal point. I CASEd (Copy And Selectively Edit-ed) a project from the catalog (page ). Since I didn't have the bundle, I substituted a sentiment from the Happy Labels stamp set and used a plant cut from the paper instead of the die cut bench. I also changed the embellishments a little. I love the way it turned out and can't wait to create more with this suite!

The next card was inspired by a swap card that I recieved from Barb Mullikin. I shared her card in the video, so be sure to watch for it! Barb used the Countryside Inn Designer Paper and Cheerful Daisies bundle. I used the same layout, but substitute Let's Go Fishing Designer Paper to create this Father's Day card. Who would you send this card to?

The last card was inspired by a fun fold swap that I recieved from Connie Stewart while I was on the Million Sales Retreat back in March. (Disclaimer: Fewer than .001% of Stampin' Up! demonstrators achieve this result.) See all of the Million Sales Achiever Fun Fold Swaps

I used the same Z Fold layout with an extra card flap to create this card with the new Stargazing Designer Paper and coordinating Reach fo the Stars bundle. I love these colors together: Orchid Oasis and Lemon Lime Twist.

Stampin' Up! Little Monkey & Crafting with You Cards + Stamp Along with Us Video

Do you tune in for Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie? It's a weekly video series where Mom and I feature the same Stampin' Up! products to create projects to share you with! Every other month, we do a "Stamp Along" video in which we invite you to prepare you own supplies at home and stamp with us to create two cards.

Here's my card! I used the Little Monkey bundle. I love the ease of use of coordinating punches! I stamped the monkey and banana in Early Espresso ink on three different colors of cardstock and punched and layered them to create the focal point.

• 5 ½” x 8 ½” Card Base, scored at 4 ¼”
• 2 ½” x 4 ¼” Light Color Cardstock
• 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” White Cardstock
• 2” x 2” Dark Layer

• Image to fit on white cardstock Greeting that is 2” or shorter
