Baroque Motifs Girly Card + Retired List Date Announcement

I just realized that I forgot to post the other version of yesterday's card. I had the text in there, but never added the photo. Click here to see that post again and check out the blue version of the Elements of Style card.

Today's card uses the older Baroque Motifs stamp set. This one has been around for awhile and I wouldn't be surprised if it retired this year. Speaking of retired stamp sets -- we'll know for sure when the Retired List is released on April 15! It's a little earlier this year because the the current Idea Book & Catalog will end on May 31. We'll have six weeks to shop the retired list before those stamp sets are officially discontinued. Watch for the Retired Accessories list to be posted on April 25. Accessories will only be available while supplies last.

Here's the Girly Girl Baroque Motifs card. The colors were inspired by the Cheerful Treat Designer Paper. (Click here to see it, get it free with a $150 order or party.)

The ruffle at the bottom was made with the White Waffle Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I cut a piece and folded it half lengthwise so there was a nice straight edge. Then I ran adhesive along the bottom of the Pretty in Pink cardstock piece and put the waffle paper down, creating a pleated ruffle as I went. (Note: It took two pieces of the waffle paper to go all the way across the card.) Here's a close-up of the flower:

Do you love that pink rhinestone?? It's from the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit die cut flowers in the Occasions Mini Catalog. (See it online here.)
