Sharing "This & That" with TV Viewers & Washi Tape Notecard

It has been kind of a nutty week. I scrambled around to make samples and learn about our new This & That product line so that I could showcase these awesome new products on TV! That's right -- TV!! I made my first TV appearance on Friday during a five minute "Creative Corner" segment on our local afternoon talk show, ciLiving.

If you saw the show live, please leave me a comment and let me know! If you missed, you can watch the video online! I can't figure out to embed the video, so click on the image (or here) to view it on the ciLiving website.

Looking for the "This & That" About Me Journal Idea sheet that I mentioned during the segment? Click here to see Friday's post for details.

Here is the quick notecard that I demonstrated at the end of the segment. It's so easy! I used strips of the new washi tape from the "That & That" product line in the corner of one of the Notecards & Envelopes. Then I stamped the Sassy Salutations greeting in Basic Gray and added a little flower from Itty Bitty Punch Pack with a rhinestone in the the middle. You can even decorate the envelope to match!

This & That "About Me" Journal Idea Sheet

I am so excited about the new "This & That" product line from Stampin' Up! You can use the journal to capture your moments, thoughts, plans, ideas, sketches, hopes, dreams—a little bit of "This" and a little bit of "That"! I started mine as a "This & That" About Me journal. (Check out some of my pages at the end of this post.)

I love that all of the pages in the journal have pre-printed backgrounds. They are colorful and coordinate with the designer paper and stickers in the line. The journal has 30 two-page spreads. To help keep it from feeling overwhelming, I created a list of ideas you could include in your own "About Me" Journal. Click here to print your own list. (.pdf)

Using Up Leftovers: Wish Big, Take #2

I used the leftovers from the Smashed Pop Top Wish Big Card to create this one. I think I like the square layout as I did on the earlier card better, but I like the Designer paper in the background as it is on this card. Leave me a comment and let me know which one you prefer!

Remember those bunnies and chicks I posted last week? We have been busy making more! I sat at my desk with punches and cardstock scraps all around and the kids literally stood in line and took turns. Stamp of the Month Club: Patterned Party

I have been so busy sharing Sale-a-bration projects, that I haven't had a chance to share my Stamp of the Month Club pick for March: Patterned Party. (See it here.) I have wanted to use this stamp set for months. It looks great with bright colors for kids, but the images aren't too "kid-ish" that you could change up the colors and use it for grown-ups too! Well, you don't HAVE to change to colors...grown-ups like bright colors too! (wink)

This one is not my favorite of the three cards in the series, only because I love the other ones so very much! I like the "Spotlighting" technique on this card. You could highlight any of the numbers to fit the birthday kid. Making for a birthday grownup? Just add two circles!

Stay tuned! I'll be revealing the other two cards in the Patterned Party series -- with video tutorials -- in the next few days!

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Patterned Party stamp set, Island Indigo marker & cardstock, Lucky Limeade ink & cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Summer Smooches Designer Paper, 1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Top Note Die (Big Shot), Stampin' Dimensionals

LAST DAY for Sale-a-Bration + Sycamore Street Pop Up Dress Card

It's been a busy week as Sale-a-bration comes to an end. I had two card classes in a row and had a blast stamping with my everyone! I focused on the Sale-a-bration gift options when I designed the cards -- I love them all!. I will be so sad to see them go! Click here to view more Sale-a-bration projects on my blog.

We made this card in my classes this week. It may look familiar. I used the same idea from this card and adapted it for the larger size. The super fun part is inside:
