What a whirlwind couple days it has been in Houston! I have been meaning to sit down and blog each night to let you know what I've been up to, but honestly, I have been so exhausted that I have chosen to sleep instead! You understand, don't you?
So let's back up and start with Day 1: Thursday. I checked in and picked up my gorgeous Leadership Bag, which of course, I forgot to take a picture of. (Mentally adding that to my "to do list now.) I had a rehearsal for my class and prepped some things for that before the first General Session started.
There were some exciting announcements int he first General Session:
- Photopolymer stamps will soon be manufactured in the Stampin' Up! facility in Kanab, Utah. They showed up some fun new sets that will be available soon, including a double alphabet stamp set and a new personalized design that I think will be very versatile.
- Stampin' Blendabilities are alcohol-based markers that blend easily and make watercoloring a snap. They'll come in packs of three (light, medium, and dark shades of one color) for $11.95. Watch for more details when they are officially released sometime during the first quarter (by the end of March).
After class, we ran into Shelli and Sterling in the hallway and stopped for a quick photo.
Thursday night was the Manager's Reception at the Downtown Aquarium in Houston. This is like no other Aquarium that I have ever visited!! They had rides and interactive exhibits (you could feed sting rays, though I opted not to!). And of course, there was food everywhere! They truly spoil us! Here are some photos from our evening out.
(Ooh! You can see a glimpse of the Leadership Bag in this photo!)
On the train ride to see the shark tank with my friend Cathy Roy and my parents.
