VIDEO & PDF: Double Slider Card Tutorial with Stampin' Up! Flurry of Wishes

I promise, this tutorial was worth the wait! This card is so fun to make -- and so easy when you've got the measurements all figured out for you! I did the hard part, now all you have to do is cut the cardstock to the right measurements and follow along as I show you how to make the Double Slider Card!

 

This was the "wow" card for my October Stamp of the Month Club. Club members get a new stamp set each month a a card kit to make two each of three different designs. I try to always include at least one special card with a fun fold or movement each month. The October kit featuring Flurry of Wishes from the 2015 Stampin' Up! Embellished Delicate Ornaments Christmas Card + Class To-Go Kits

I know many of you are waiting for the Double Slider Card Tutorial. I'm so sorry that is taking so long for me to finish and post it! It was a busy week and now I'm in New York City with my family! Stay tuned! I promise it's coming soon!

Stampin' Up! Cozy Christmas Magic of the Season Card

The sentiment on this card captures my favorite part of Christmas -- the magic of the season. It is so fun to experience the holidays through the eyes of our four children: the first snow, school concerts, their precious giving hearts, and the anticipation of the greatest gift. Christmas is my favorite holiday! I think you can really feel it in this card!

I used markers to ink the image of the house and trees. And you can't see it well in this photo, but I used 2-Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds to add sparkle to the snow on the roof and ground.

Do you recognize the layout? I was inspired by this card on page 27 of the 2015 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog!

Global Design Project #GDP008: Stampin' Up! Wild About Flowers Card

I am honored to be a Guest Design Team Member this week for the Global Design Project Challenge. Global Design Project is a team of demonstrators from around the globe who offer weekly challenges based on different themes. This week, the talented Kylie Bertucci from Australia is hosting the challenge and the theme is "CASE the Designer". 

I have seen many definitions of CASE (Copy And Steal Everything, Copy And Share Everything), but my favorite is Copy And Selectively Edit. So I used Kylie's card as an inspiration, but selectively edited certain things to make it my own. In this case, I used similar colors (Tip Top Taupe, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Very Vanilla) and changed the layout slightly, but kept the double banner element.

Flurry of Wishes Merry Christmas Card

I'm still working on the Double Slider Card tutorial. Prepping for our team meeting, stamp club, and weekend events trumped the video. Stay tuned! It's coming, I promise! Control Freaks Blog Tour: Lighthearted Leaves Autumn Cards

I felt a little rushed making this next card between the kids' activities this afternoon. I probably would fuss with the placement of the leaves a little more after seeing the photo, but the best part of the card is not the leaves -- it's way it moves! 

When you pull up on the ribbon, two layers of cardstock slide out to be revealed! This is such a fun card and really super easy to make! Be sure to come back tomorrow! I'm working on a video and printable tutorial to show you all the measurements and a tip for getting it perfect every time!
