6 Stampin' Up! Flowing Flowers Cards + Sunday Stamping Creative Challenge REVEAL Video

In last week's episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie, we challenged each other to make cards with the same supplies we used to design our own cards. My sister Aimee LaCroix-Slocum joined us for this special challenge episode, so we had three sets of supplies to work with.

We set up some challenge "House Rules": Use any stamp set, inks, tools, etc to create your card. You can die cut/punch from any of the pieces, but you must use EVERY piece as listed and you may NOT use any additional cardstock/paper pieces. Embellish as desired.

Mom (Susan LaCroix) and I added another layer to the challenge by choosing to using the same stamp set for all three cards. Here are the cards that I made using the Flowing Flowers stamp set from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. This first card was my design. I used the 2021-2023 In Color Stampin' Write Markers to color directly on the rubber stamp to create this multi-colored image. See what Mom & Aimee made.

• 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Soft Succulent Cardstock
• 2-1/2" x 5" Pale Papaya Cardstock
• 4 1⁄4” x 2” Polished Pink Cardstock
• 3" x 3" Heart & Home DSP
• 2 1⁄2” x 3⁄4” Basic White Cardstock
• 3 1⁄2” x 1⁄2” Basic Gray Cardstock

I created this pocket card using Mom's supplies. Her card base was 4-1/4" x 11", so I scored at 1-1/2" and 5-1/2" to create a pocket with a small flap that folds down. I love that all three of us created a different fun fold with this card base! See what Mom & Aimee created.

I was a little hesitant about the supply list that Aimee sent us! I love the bold colors she took from the Waves of the Ocean Designer Paper, but I wasn't sure about the three small pieces. I love the way the card turned out! Aimee and I used a very similar layout, but our cards look very different! See what Aimee & Mom created.

Lily Impressions With Gratitude Card

I can't resist a card layout challenge, so I had to work in an extra card this week when I saw that the Global Design Project team posted a new layout! This layout is great for designer paper. Everything Festive: Let It Snow Cards

My favorite Global Design Project Challenges are the card layout challenges! I used this week's layout challenge to create a card using the sparkly Let It Snow paper and Everything is Festive stamp set. The second card I made is clean and simple and very easy! I used the Stitched Nested Labels dies to cut a larger label from the designer paper and a smaller one for the sentiment. You could do this with ANY designer paper to make a quick card. Now that I am looking at it, I'm thinking maybe I should add a snowman in the corner. What do you think?

This is such a versatile stamp set and has a little something for a all the upcoming fall and winter occasions! Stayed tuned! I'll be sharing lots more card ideas using this fun new stamp set!

Waterfront Landscape Fun Fold Card for #GDP187

This week's Global Design Project challenge theme is to "Create a Landscape", so I created this fun fold card and created TWO landscapes! Waterfront debuted last winter/spring, but has become a must-have classic for every stamp! It's so easy to combine the brushstroke stamp images to create gorgeous outdoor scenes.

I cut a portion of the card front off and lined up the inside piece directly under the layer on the front.

Directions:

Score the Old Olive cardstock is half at 5 ½”. Using the Stampin’ Trimmer, line the cardstock up with the short end at the top. Line the edge up with 1 ¾” and cut from the score line down to the edge of the cardstock. Use the Stampin’ Trimmer or Scissors to cut along the score line and remove the larger section of the card front. (Save this piece to use on another card!)
