4 Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Wishes Card Ideas + Video Tutorial

The Thoughtful Journey Suite in the 2024-2025 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog is one of my favorite! The 6x6 designer paper reminds me of the popular New Horizons designer paper from 2022. These watercolor designs were hand-painted by Stampin' Up! artists and make beautiful backgrounds for your projects. Here is a card that I designed for a recent Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie video.

Card Measurements

• 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Mossy Meadow Cardstock, scored at 4-1/4" 
• cut at 1" from each side up to the fold line and glue down the side flaps
• (2) 3/4" x 4" Thoughtful Designs Designer Paper
• (2) 3-1/4" x 4" Basic White Cardstock
• 3" x 3-3/4" Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper
• 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" Wild Wheat Cardstock (to die cut)
• 2" Basic White Circle
• 3/4" x 2" Fresh Freesia

I just announed on Tuesday that the theme for the September Great, Big Card Swap will be Masculine Cards. With so many floral stamp options, sometimes it can be tricky to find the right products to create cards for your favorite men. I am so happy that Stampin' Up! has offered some new options in the last few years -- the most recent being the new Take to the Sky Suite. I love the colors in this designer paper -- which include patterns that have nothing to do with airplanes!

Here are three cards that I've created using this new suite and the coordinating Adventurous Skies bundle. This stamp set and die bundle is perfect for making cards for men's birthdays, retirement, and Father's Day.

5 Stampin' Up! Charming Duck Pond Card Ideas

The Lily Pond Lane Suite reminds me of summer days by the pond feeding the ducks and soaking up the sun. The more I see, the more I grow to love this light-hearted suite and the Charming Duck Pond bundle!

Create a wetlands scene complete with ducks, ducklings, frogs, cattails, and marsh plants and use the cheery sentiments to celebrate birthdays or friendship. I designed this book binding card to showcase the suite for a recent video in which I shared 80 card ideas using Stampin' Up! bundles.

VIDEO: Stampin' Up! Take to the Sky | Adventurous Sky Peek-a-boo Flip Card Tutorial

I was inspired by a recent card that Sharon Groves and Myra Williams shared for the Great, Big Card Swap and couldn't resist bringing back this fun fold card design that I first shared back in 2016. (See the original project.)

I designed this version for a recent Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie video using the Take to the Sky Suite from the new Annual Catalog. This suite is perfect for making masculine cards for Father's Day, birthdays, retirement, or any occasion!

When you open the card, the image in the punched window "magically" changes! Here's a top view that shows the "flip" mechanism.
