VIDEO Tutorial: Open Top Treat Box + Free Printable!

Here's another Open Top Treat Box (see the first one here). I made these up to give my downline at the Stampin' Up! Lansing Regional seminar last weekend. They are so easy and take just a half sheet of cardstock to make. Don't worry! I've created a video AND a print tutorial so you can follow along and make these at home. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of this new box! What occasion will you make it for?

Here's the video tutorial:

In the video I mentioned the yummy treat inside the box -- Cake Mix Muddy Buddies. I found the recipe on Pinterest and then one of my new stamping friends brought it to a party and I got to try it. YUM!! It's a great mix of sweet and salty! Click here for the recipe. (Note: It is very sweet at first. I think it tastes better when you let it sit for awhile and the flavors have a chance to meld together.)

Lansing Regional Seminar Highlights

It was a whirlwind trip to Lansing for Saturday's Stampin' Up! regional seminar, but I'm so glad that I went! After 10 years of attending Stampin' Up! events, I was worried that I wouldn't learn anything new. HA! That definitely was not the case! I wrote down many tips and ideas and saw projects that I just have to try. Plus I got to see my Michigan downline and visit with a new stamping friend! It was definitely worth the 5 hours drive (each way). I just wish I could have had more time to spend with everyone!

Here are some of my favorite displays!

Another highlight was watching my friend Cathy Roy make a live booking call on stage! She was awesome! And she inspired me to call and get a booking of my own!

Stampin' Up! did not disappoint with prizes and gifts! I love the way they spoil us! In addition to the door prizes, everyone in attendance (850 demonstrators and guests!) received the Merry Moments Simply Scrappin' Kit and Seasonal Sayings stamp set. Woo hoo!

Before the day was over, my friend Kim, who had attended as guest, left as a brand new demonstrator!! The free ink pad offer was just too good to pass up! Congratulations, Kim and welcome to the group!

Mitten Punch Season's Greeting Card

Have you been enjoying all of the Mitten Builder Punch projects this week? (See them here.) Today's project uses the Mitten Builder Punch to make...mittens! Pretty obvious, but so cute! I used the Argyle Embossing Folder to add some texture to the mittens. I love these winder colors together: Baja Breeeze, Perfect Plum, and Not Quite Navy.

Baby Punch Art with Stampin' Up! Mitten Builder Punch

Last month at our Demonstrator Stamp & Share meeting, my friend Nancy Hawthorne demonstrated many ways to use the Mitten Builder Punch. She has inspired many of my projects and I think it was Australian demonstrator Clare Mcilhatton who inspired Nancy. One of my favorite parts of being a demonstrator is sharing and inspiring others and I love that we can do this so freely! Thank you Nancy and Clare for making me getting the Mitten Punch (wink!) and helping to get my own creative juices going! Find the Mitten Punch in my Online Store here. Stampin' Up! Mitten Builder Punch Ice Cream Cone

What did you think of yesterday's Mitten Builder Punch Flower? I've got another way to use that mitten top -- turn it into ice cream!

This 3x3 card will make the perfect gift enclosure for my niece's birthday next week! I used the Perfect Parade stamp set to make the cone, but I cut it down to be smaller and better proportioned to my ice cream (punched from the Mitten Builder Punch). The cherry on top is from the Cupcake Builder Punch.

Stampin' Up! Mitten Builder Punch Flower Card

I love punches! Especially when there are different ways to use them! I held out on buying the mitten punch, but when I saw all the cool things you can make with it, so I broke down and got it! I'm pretty confident that I'll have you adding it to your own wish list before the week is over! (Find it in my Online Store.) Hang on to your hats, it's Mitten Builder Punch week!!

Day 1: Use the mitten top to make flowers! The stem is made from the branch in the Owl Punch. The leaves are stamped from Bright Blossoms stamp set. I couldn't decide which color I liked better. What do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know your preference: Island Indigo or Rich Razzleberry.
