6 Stampin' Up! Otterly Adorable Card Ideas + Video Tutorials

We are getting ready for another Last Chance Clearance Rack update -- coming Tuesday, August 5th -- so today I wanted to highlight one of my favorite designer papers currently on the Last Chance List. It's discounted and now available for 50% off! I designed the first card for a Sunday Stamping video. It's a Pop-Up Diorama Card. When you open the card, the inside opens into a a small diorama with a recessed window.  Try using other shapes or dies to make the diorama window bigger. See More Pop-Up Diorama Cards

Here's another fun fold card that I create with the Otterly Adorable Designer Paper. This fold was inspired by a card that I received for the Great, Big Card Swap from Anne Telecky. It uses a long piece of designer paper as the base for the card. You can create four card bases from one sheet of designer paper.

• 4" x 12" Otterly Adorable Designer Paper, scored at 2-1/2" and 6-3/4" 
• 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" Basic White Cardstock (inside)

The last card was created by Stampin' Up! Concept Artists. They used the designer paper scene for the background of the card and then added a shaker frame on top. 

How to Make a Shaker Card:

• Use the Textured Notes Dies layered together to create a skinny frame or cut the center out of a rectangular piece of cardstock with your Paper Trimmer. 
• Attach a piece of window sheet behind the frame. 
• Add your shaker element to the center of the card. (This card uses the Riverside Irregular Pearls with the adhesive dot removed.)
• Then, use Adhesive Foam Strips to attach the frame to the card so that there is room for the elements to "shake".

VIDEO: Stampin' Up! Party Piggy Shaker Card

In my last blog post, I talked about being inspired by card ideas in the catalog. Today's card is another one that I CASEd (Copy And Selectively Edited). I took the simple layout with a diagonal designer paper element and added a fun shaker image with the new Party Piggy Bundle from the May 2025 Online Exclusives.

I created this card with a Clear Envelope and a piece of Window Sheet to create a shaker card front using the new Beautiful Butterflies Bundle. I included some small die cut butterflies with the Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix inside the clear envelope.

I used the unique die in the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle to create this card with a butterfly-shaped flap! This card is CASEd from the January-April 2025 Mini Catalog.

Mom and I featured the Beautiful Bokeh Suite in this week's Sunday Stamping videos. I used the hybrid embossing folder to emboss and die cut a piece of designer paper and then used the pieces to create two different cards.

For the first card, I used the die cut butterfly to create a "pull through" card with a slit created with the long label punch. I used a full card on the inside, but realized that if you don't know to pull the butterfly through -- it just "sticks" to the top of the inside card and it looks like the card just opens like a normal card. 

If you use a single layer of white cardstock inside, you won't have that problem, but there is less room to write your message.

For the second card, I embossed and die cut a second butterfly from Basic White cardstock. I added Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink, and Calypso Coral ink to the embossing folder using a blending brush and sponge daubers and then spritzed with water to create the watercolor effect. I used a Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blend to add color to the body.
