We'll Walrus Be Friends Card

I'm so excited to be participating in the Top Ten International Highlights Winner’s Blog Hop June 2019 hosted by Kylie Bertucci!  First, I want to thank you for taking the time to vote for my card in the gallery a couple of weeks ago. There were so many amazing projects and I am honored to have my card receive so many votes! 

The theme of this month's blog hop is "Encouragement", so I picked one of my favorite new stamp sets from the Annual Catalog. We'll Walrus Be Friends stamp set was one of the first to catch my eye. I love these cute characters! I inked it up as soon as it came and make swap cards for our team meeting earlier this month. The sentiment says "Just floating by to say hi". Who wouldn't love to get this in the mail!?

 I stamped the walrus in Memento Black ink and colored with the Pool Party and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends. It was begging for some glitter, so I added Wink of Stella on the walrus tusks and the water.

 The new High Seas Embossing Folder pairs perfectly with this stamp set. You may require an extra shim to use this new-style 3D Embossing Folder -- or you can get the 3D Embossing Plate if you prefer to use it without extra shims. I couldn't resist adding another Walrus to the inside.

14 Come Sail Away ~ Sailing Home Projects

The Come Sail Away Suite is a very nostalgic suite for me. It reminds me of the years we lived near Lake Michigan and the sailboat my parents owned for a short time. It reminds me of our trips sailing up the coast of the lake. It reminds me of sunsets by the lighthouse and particularly the sunset on October 15, 1999 when my husband proposed next to the lighthouse in St. Joseph, Michigan. Friendly Expression Cancer Support Card

I love the style of the Friendly Expression stamp set and I can't believe it's retiring after only one year in the catalog! Make sure to get it before it's gone -- there's only one month left!
