VIDEO: Lift Me Up Double Z Fold Card Tutorial: Floating Hot Air Balloons

I am so excited to share my Double Z Fold card featuring floating hot air balloons from the Lift Me Up stamp set. I absolutely love the way this card turned out! It's like the hot air balloons were made just for this fun fold. And the Carried Away Designer paper (choose it FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration!) is the perfect backdrop for the floating balloons.

Lift Me Up Hot Air Balloon Flap Card

Here is the second card I designed for my January Stamp of the Month Club card kit featuring the Lift Me Up stamp set from the 2017 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog. Instead of making the Night of Navy cardstock the card base, I cut the full card from Whisper White cardstock (3-1/2" x 11) and folded it in half before gluing it to the 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Night of Navy cardstock. That way, when you open the card, it's white and you can easily write your message inside!

To add a little dimension to the clouds, I cut the large cloud from the Mint Macaron cardstock so that you see the Whisper White cardstock beneath it. The hot air balloons are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamp of the Month Club: Lift Me Up + Carried Away

I was really dragging earlier this week and couldn't find my mojo to design projects for my January Stamp of the Month Club. I had sketched out ideas and stared at the paper and thought about the colors and was just getting nowhere. Finally, it all came together yesterday and I am in love with the cards I designed for this month's card kit.

Lift Me Up Hot Air Balloons Sampler Frame

The Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration start tomorrow!! I just can't wait to start sharing new projects with you, so here's one a little early. I designed this sampler frame for our team stamp and share meeting in Springfield last month. It's super easy thanks to the coordinating Carried Away Designer Paper. You'll need five 2" x 2" squares of this fun paper. (It's one of the FREE gift options during Sale-a-bration!) Layer those on 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" Whisper White squares.

The big square is 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" Mint Macaron and 4-3/4" x 4-3/4" Whisper White. I used the coordinating Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away Thinlits to create the hot air balloons. The detailed thinlit cuts perfectly with the Precision Base Plat. The colored cardstock underneath is cut with the thinlit dies that perfectly fit in each section of the hot air balloon. I recommend using the Fine Tip Glue to glue them to the detailed die cut.

Finish off the sampler on a 8" x 8" piece of Night of Navy cardstock. I purchased the Studio Decor frame at Michael's. It comes in a four pack for $20.

The card front is pretty simple, but the fun part is opening the card and finding it's much longer than you'd expect!
