VIDEO: Reverse Masking Tutorial: Sponging with High Tide

For the last card in my May Stamp of the Month Club series, I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. I copied the main element of the card by AmethyStar Crafting. I love how easy it is to create a scene using sponges and a mask with the Reverse Masking technique. And the High Tide set has all the right elements to give it extra depth.

Stamp of the Month Club: High Tide Card

Things have been pretty hectic on my end. May is kind of a blur with all of the end-of-the-year activities, banquets, etc plus all three girls are playing softball or baseball this spring, so we are in full swing (pun intended!) with practices and games! I struggled to tweak and finish my designs for Stamp of the Month Club -- not because I don't love this stamp set. I just couldn't find my mojo!

I designed this clean and simple banner card in May when I was making cards with the High Tide stamp set. I choose a different design for my High Tide card kit, but I still love the simplicity of this layout. See More High Tide cards.

The label die is now retired, but you could easily substitute a different tag or label shape.

High Tide Color Block Card

"Let hope be your lighthouse, beckoning you through stormy seas." I love the sentiment on today's High Tide card. Buying and selling a house is probably the most stressful thing I've ever had to do. I'm navigating this stormy sea with hope and faith that the end result will be worth the rough water on our journey there.
