VIDEO: Stampin' Up! Nature's Print Inked Embossing Folder Technique

Have you ever created a cyanotype print? I have fond memories of using Sunprints kits as a child! Using the special cyanotype paper, you can create unique art with objects that appear white as the rest of the paper turns a vibrant Prussian Blue.

The new Sun Prints Designer Paper was designed to have a similar look with gorgeous fern imagery and other botanical designs in an eclectic selection of colored patterns and designs.

Mom and I featured this new suite in an episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie last month. I created this card with the inked embossing folder technique to mimic the designer paper.

To make the embossed fern image pop, add ink directly to the inside of the embossing folder before embossing the cardstock. Apply gently. Overinked images will muddle the embossed fern.

Tip: Try inking either side of the embossing folder for different variations. (See the video below for samples!)
