Dashing Deer Gate Fold Card + VIDEO

Here's another card from my October Stamp of the Month Club card kit! I am featuring the Dashing Deer stamp set and Joyous Noel designer paper. The Copper accents in this paper series is divine! I played off the copper leaves in the paper by punching and including some copper leaves with the stamped embellishment.

This is a Gate Fold Card. It's made from a standard half sheet of cardstock (5-1/2" x 8-1/2") but scored in difference places so that the card opens like a gate. I scored at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8". The cardstock inside in stamped simply.

VIDEO: First Frost Pop Up Diorama Card Tutorial

Here is the last card in the trio of designs that I created for my First Frost card kit. (I have a couple kits left if you are interested in participating in my Stamp of the Month Club! Send me a message and I'll give you all the details!)

This is one of my favorite fun fold card. It looks pretty innocent on the outside, but when you open it, it's pop-ups into a diorama on the inside! See more Pop Up Diorama Cards

The best part is that it folds completely flat for mailing!

Here's what it looks like from the top when it's open so you can see the dimension that it creates. You can really dress it up by adding more flowers and leaves or keep it simple as I have done.

Here are the directions to cut and score the cardstock.

How to Make the Surprise Pop-Up Diorama Card:

• Cut cardstock to 5-1/2"  x 10-1/2".
• Score at 3-1/2", 6-1/2", 7", and 10".
• Add Sticky Strip to the 1/2" tab on the end.
• Punch a 2" Circle window in the 3" panel next to the 1/2" tab.
• Peel off the Sticky Strip liner and fold the card front flat to glue the tab inside the card front.

VIDEO: Gate Fold Shutter Card Tutorial

It's the last day to get the Bird Banter stamp set and all of the retiring stamp sets and products from the Annual and Occasions Catalogs, so I had to squeak in one more tutorial for the week! This fun fold card is the third card in my May Stamp of the Month Club card kit.

I made a peek-a-boo shutter card many years ago, but changed up the measurements a little and finally created a tutorial to explain the cuts and scores that will make this card a piece of cake for you to make at home!

The front is fairly simple with a row of little birdies. When you open the card, the shutter opens to reveal another bird next to the birthday message.

Here are the cardstock measurements for the main pieces of this card:

• 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Lemon Lime Twist, scored at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8"
• 3" x 5-1/2" Tangerine Tango (inside)
• (2) 3" x 4" Tempting Turquoise
• 2" Circle Punch 

Watch my video tutorial to learn how to cut the cardstock and assemble the Gate Fold Shutter Card. Even though the Bird Banter stamp set is retiring, this card template and idea will work with any stamp set! Stay tuned! I'm sure I'll make some more cards using new catalog products.

VIDEO: Fun Fold Series: Petal Palette Diagonal Fold Card

I am finally catching up on videos and can't wait to show you this Diagonal Fold Card! I featured this card design in my March Stamp of the Month Club card kit with the Petal Palette stamp set. This fun fold is easier than it looks! With just a couple scores and one cut, you'll have two card bases from one sheet of cardstock! Here is the inside of the card. I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to secure the bottom flap in place to make a pocket. I thought this card would be perfect for a wedding or bridal shower. The pocket makes it easy to tuck in money, a check, or gift card!
