VIDEO: Designer Paper Wrapped Box Tutorial

This cute little gift box is easy to make and can be customized for any occasion with your choice of designer paper! I paired the colorful Artistry Blooms Designer Paper with the Hey Birthday Chick bundle to make this festive birthday gift box.

This box is super easy! You'll need two pieces: 

• 5-1/2" x 7" Cardstock 
• Short Side at Top, Score at 1" and 4-1/2" 
• Long Side at Top, Score at 3" and 4" 
• Cut center score marks and fold put to make box
• 2-1/2" x 12" Designer Paper 
• Score at 5-1/2" and 6-1/2"
• Punch "handle" through both layers

VIDEO: Half Sheet Treat Box Tutorial

The Half Sheet Treat Box is quick and easy and perfect for any occasion!  And it only takes -- you guessed it -- a half sheet of cardstock! Here is my version using the new Christmastime is Here Suite. Holy Smokes! This paper is AMAZING! You need this in your life! Get it all or just pick out your favorite products (like the paper!) Here is the template for the box. Be sure to check back tomorrow for my video tutorial and another Half Sheet Treat Box using brand new products!

Instructions for Half Sheet Treat Box:

• Start with a piece of cardstock that measures 8-1/2" x 5-1/2". 
• Score at 1-1/2", 4", 5-1/2", and 8". 
• Turn 90 degrees and score at 1-1/2". 
• Cut on the score lines up to the 1-1/2" score line. Completely remove the tab at the end.
• Fold on all the score lines. Use Tear & Tape to adhere the box together.

Valentine's Day has come and gone, but you're still going to love this little treat box! It's perfect for many holidays and occasions! This party favor box fits 6-8 candy kisses or any small gift. Personalize it with festive colors and designer paper for your next party, wedding shower, or baby shower.

 To make the Tag Topper Treat Box, you'll need a few pieces of cardstock:

• 2" x 6-1/2" Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 2-3/4" and 3-3/4"
• 1-1/2" x 2" Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 1/2" and 1-1/2"

Paper Pumpkin: January 2018 Heartfelt Love Notes Alternative Projects

 

I love project kits! They are perfect for new crafters and busy crafters. People who don't have a lot of space for craft supplies. People who just want to sit down and craft and don't want to do the work of designing and cutting materials. Paper Pumpkin is a monthly project kit subscription from Stampin' Up!. It's just like a class in a box! Delivered right to your door each month. Each box is a surprise, but it always contains a project that is completely designed, cut, and ready to create. 

While I could make up the projects exactly like they are intended, my favorite part is the personal challenge to come up with a different way to use those pieces to create fun and alternative projects to share with and inspire you. This month, I created a valentine Lots to Love Box and decorated three of the Narrow White Note Cards to go inside, mostly using just the supplies from the box!

 Aren't these Narrow Note Cards the cutest? They are 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" -- a little too small to mail on their own, but perfect for tucking inside a gift or leaving surprises for your loved ones. Here are close-ups of each card. I cut apart the cards in the kit for the designer paper pieces.

 

 

I used the 2" Circle Punch to punch out a piece from one of the cards to use on the envelope flap. The thin strips of Flirty Flamingo are the edges from the die cut banner sheet.

 

 I cut the edge off of this card and put the peek of stripes designer paper inside.
