VIDEO: Stampin' Up! Stars Are Shining Catalog CASE + 3 Be Dazzling Cards

Every time a new Stampin' Up! catalog is released, I challenge my team to CASE it -- "Copy And Selectively Edit" or "Copy And Share Everything". In other words, find a sample in the catalog that inspires them and then create their own version. Sometimes we are inspired by the layout, colors, or technique. How are you inspired by the catalog samples?

 
I made a few changes to this card using the Stars Are Shining Bundle, but the colors and layout were almost the same.

Here is the original sample from the catalog. Can you spot all of the changes that I made?

One of the big changes was the background! Instead of using designer paper, I used rubbing alcohol and reinker in a Stampin' Spritzer to color the Be Dazzling Paper (a free gift choice during Sale-a-Bration). Make sure to protect your work surface so you don't get overspray on other projects. Don't ask me how I know! (groan)

VIDEO: Carols of Christmas Glitter Window Card Tutorial

I had forgotten just how busy the summer had been until I went to upload my latest video tutorial and realized that the last video before this was posted in July! Eek! Sorry for my video hiatus! I have lots of videos to catch up on, so stay tuned! 

 

This fun card is one that I demonstrated at our Vacation Stamping School Demonstrator Training event in August. I used window sheets, the multi-purpose adhesive sheets, and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to create a glitter window in the front of this Christmas card. It reminds me of a snow globe or a frosted window. The photos don't do the sparkle justice. It's so pretty in real life!

Picture Perfect Cut Apart Card + Stampin' Up! Video

Many thanks to Cheryl for hosting a Stampin' Up! party with me this week. I designed this card for her party. It's similar to the "Cut Apart Card" that I posted last week, but I did not use the "middle" piece that I cut off the card. 

Here are the cutting measurements for this card:

Stampin' Up! Cozy Christmas Magic of the Season Card

The sentiment on this card captures my favorite part of Christmas -- the magic of the season. It is so fun to experience the holidays through the eyes of our four children: the first snow, school concerts, their precious giving hearts, and the anticipation of the greatest gift. Christmas is my favorite holiday! I think you can really feel it in this card!

I used markers to ink the image of the house and trees. And you can't see it well in this photo, but I used 2-Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds to add sparkle to the snow on the roof and ground.

Do you recognize the layout? I was inspired by this card on page 27 of the 2015 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog!

VIDEO Double Layer Stamping Tutorial with Ornamental Pine

The last card in my October Stamp of the Month Club Series featuring the Ornamental Pine stamp set is not as complicated as it might first seem. You might think it would take a lot of effort to line up the stamped images, but I have an easy trick to show you that makes this Double Layer Stamping technique a piece of cake!

Check out my video tutorial to learn how to make this card. I used Dotto Adhesive in the video. I just realized that Stampin' Up! doesn't carry Dotto Adhesive anymore. You can use the 2-way glue and let it dry to create a removable bond. Or, use just a tiny bit of SNAIL adhesive to hold it in place while you stamp.
