This month, we're doing sketch challenges. I need to make six sympathy cards, so I used this challenge sketch as inspiration for my card layout. Instead of adding an embellishment in the middle, I created a negative spotlight on the stamped image. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of this clean and simple card!
[Edited on 1-19-15 to add video] The secret is that there are two pieces of cardstock. In other words, I
didn't magically stamp the image perfectly on the layer underneath! I
stamped it on a small piece, lined it up under the window and then
layered it on the same color cardstock. Check out the video tutorial
below and it will make more sense!

Julie, this is a stunning card! Please, if you have time, could you tell us how to make it?
Lovely Julie....how smart and clever...so sorry that you need so many sympathy cards this month.
I also agree on needing your how-to on this card...I have a few ideas but not exactly sure of your technique! Thank you in advance!
Lovely card Julie, I do love this stamp set.

This is such a lovely sympathy card. Elegant! Will you share a video or a tutorial about how you did the stamping? Thanks
I think the negative spotlight is a yet another great way to showcase this wonderful image. A pity it had to be for a Sympathy Card.
This is a wonderful new-to-me way to create the moon, and it is especially effective with good ole Lovely as a Tree. Thank you for sharing!
Love this card! I can't wait to try it. Also love the colors you used
