Around the World Blog Hop: Holiday Catalog Projects

Welcome to the Around the World Stampin' Up! Blog Hop. I'm so excited to partner with my friends all over the world to share inspiring projects with you. If you followed our Around the World Stampin' Challenges that we did last year and the year before, you know how incredibly talented these demonstrators are! You may have come over from Miriam van Eyden's blog. If not, be sure to visit all of them until you come back through Miriam's back to mine again. The list is at the end of this post.

This month we are focusing on holiday projects featuring products from the Holiday Catalog. I am hooked on these Peek-a-boo Flip Cards and made another one using the Stitched with Cheer stamp set. This set was designed to coordinate with the Stitched with Cheer Card Kit, but you can definitely use these fun images on their own.

It's hard to capture the movement in this card in photos. When you open the front, a panel slides open into the window to replace the color/image that was there when the card was closed.

It's not as hard as it looks! Be sure to come back to visit tomorrow to watch my video tutorial and see another Peek-a-boo Flip Card! [Updated 10/3/16: See Video Tutorial.] Once I teach you how to make it, you'll be making Peek-a-boo Flip Cards for all different occasions!

Thank you for visiting today! Now it's time to complete the blog hop by visiting my demonstrator friends around the world to see the incredible projects they have created inspired by the catalog samples. Next up is Helen Read. I'm sure you'll love what she has created for you this month.

Around the World Blog Hop: Thoughtful Branches Autumn Card

Welcome to the Around the World Stampin' Up! Blog Hop. I'm so excited to partner with my friends all over the world to share inspiring projects with you. This month, we are featuring trees and flowers, in honor of this month's limited-time Thoughtful Branches Bundle.

You are currently visiting Julie Davison in the United States. You may have come over from Marie-Josée Trudel's blog. If not, be sure to visit all of them until you come back through Marie-Josée's to mine again. (The list is at the end of this post.)

Have you seen the new Thoughtful Branches bundle yet? This has to be one of the most versatile stamp sets that I have ever owned! You can use it to make flowers and trees for all seasons and projects for all occasions. This stamp set and framelit set will NOT be available in future catalogs and is only available while supplies last or until August 31, 2016. Check it out in my Online Store here.

My card today was inspired by a sample in the upcoming 2016 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. I used the same layout and similar colors as the card on page 48 and switched up the stamp set and added a button. I really love the way that it turned out. Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Around the World Blog Hop: CASE the Catalog Challenge

Welcome to the Around the World Stampin' Up! Blog Hop. I'm so excited to partner with my friends all over the world to share inspiring projects with you. If you followed our Around the World Stampin' Challenges that we did last year and the year before, you know how incredibly talented these demonstrators are! You may have come over from Martha Lucia Gomez's blog. If not, be sure to visit all of them until you come back through Kristine's to mine again. The list is at the end of this post.

This month, we are "CASEing the Catalog". CASE stands for Copy And Selectively Edit. I love that our catalog is also an idea book -- full of samples that are meant to be copied and inspire your own creations.
My cards were inspired by the Foxy Friends card on page 56 of the 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog. First, I copied the card exactly as it was shown. It's so much cuter in person than in print!

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Foxy Friends stamp set, Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, Smoky Slate ink, Basic Gray ink, Basic Black ink, Calypso Coral ink, Thick Whisper White cardstock, A Little Foxy Designer Paper Stack, Fox Builder Punch, Smoky Slate 1/8" Stitched Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewel Accents

Then, I switched up the colors and designer paper and used a different image from the same stamp set. I used this card as a make and take for several of my workshops and team meetings last month. I love showing people that you can copy ideas right from the catalog. You don't have to create original designs to enjoy stamping!

Lastly, I changed up the stamp set and colors completely and used the same layout to make a card.

Around the World with Stampin' Up!: Last Chance Blog Hop

Welcome to the Around the World Stampin' Up! Blog Hop. I'm so excited to partner with my friends all over the world to share more ideas featuring retiring products. We are sharing projects created with some of our favorite retiring products. Make sure you get these goodies before they're gone while supplies last until May 31. You may have come over from Liz Goldhawk's blog. If not, be sure to visit all of them until you come back through Liz's to mine again. The list is at the end of this post.

I had planned to use my favorite retiring stamp set, Sassy Salutations, for my projects today, but while I was reaching for buttons, I remembered the Expressions Natural Elements. I love these fun wooden greetings. It includes three: Thanks, Congrats, and Celebrate.
Stampin' Up! Around the World Last Chance Blog Hop with English Garden Expressions Natural Elements Cards #stampinup www.juliedavison.com
The first card I made is feminine and pretty. I used the retiring English Garden designer paper and colored the Expressions Natural Elements with a Rose Red marker to coordinate with the paper. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to make it sparkle!
TIP: Color Expressions Natural Elements with marker to color them. Use Clear Wink of Stella to add some sparkle! #stampinup www.juliedavison.com

When I finished, I decided to make another card so you could see what the Expressions Natural Elements look like naked (that is without color and glitter)! All of our designer paper is double-sided and this pattern is what is on the other side of the flowers that I used on the first card. I decided to make a more masculine card to show on both the paper and the Expressions Natural Elements can be used to create totally different cards. Which one do you prefer? Leave me a comment and let me know!
