When I was cleaning up the mess from the Merry Minis card I posted yesterday, I decided to punch out the negative space from where I punched each shape. I used the 1" Square Punch to frame each Merry Mini shape and then layered it with Stampin' Dimensionals on the Postage Stamp Punch. On the Notecards & Envelopes, it makes a quick and simple thank you note card. I love it! What do you think?

Clean & Simple Merry Minis CASE
It's been a busy week and I have been stamping a lot, but don't can't share most of it with you yet! I got started on 120 swaps for Founder's Circle. 120! That number seems so daunting! But I have some help (Thanks Amy!!) and I can't wait to see the 119 cards I get back!
I'm also finishing up a special project which I hope to share more about this weekend. Sorry for the tease!
I do have something new to share! I had a card class last night and we finished in RECORD time. We started late and we were still done in 45 minutes. And we stamped 3 cards! So I let them choose a card from my swap bucket and we made a fourth card. They choose a swap card by my friend Faye Colwell. The clean and simple style really appeals to me! We added a layer of green behind the white and changed up the greeting, but otherwise, it's the same. Thanks for the inspiration, Faye!!
Stampin Supplies: Merry Minis stamp set, More Merry Messages stamp set, Gumball Green ink & cardstock, Raspberry Ripple ink & cardstock, More Mustard ink & cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Merry Minis Punch Pack, 1" Square Punch, Postage Punch, Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals

Happy Birthday Rose: Paper Flowers Video Tutorial
Here's another technique I learned at Convention. We made this card in Stamp Club. The flowers are gorgeous in person, and so much easier than they might seem! You'll need just a few minimal supplies to create them: cardstock, a punch, a brad, and a Stampin' Spritzer (water). Check out my video below and I will walk you through it. If you prefer a printable tutorial, make sure to check out this post from yesterday.
Stampin' Up! Supplies: Beautiful Birthday (greeting), Jet Black Staz-On Ink Pad, River Rock cardstock, Raspberry Ripple cardstock, Gumball Green cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, In Color Patterns Designer Paper, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 2-2/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Little Leaves Sizzlit (Big Shot), Stampin' Spritzer, Gold Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals

Wonderfall Autumn Accents Card
One of the best things about Convention is coming home with so many new ideas -- both business ideas and creative ideas. The technique I used on this card was demonstrated on stage at Convention. I made a quick video to show you how to use our new firm foam ink pads to create this textured distressed leaf with products from the Holiday Catalog.
When I got done die-cutting a dozen leaves for Card Club, my Autumn Accents die was a mess with glitter! Here's a tip for quick and safe cleaning: Use a piece of tape to pick up the glitter. You can keep using the same piece until it's not sticky anymore.
Here's the video to show you how to make the distressed leaf:

Googly Ghouls Spider Window Card
I had a great time stamping with Kitty and the gang last night! I think this group has been stamping longer than I have, so it's always intimidating to design cards for them, but somehow I always manage to show them something new!
Here is one of the cards we made, featuring the new Googly Ghouls stamp set and Googlies.
We didn't neglect the inside! We stamped the spider web from the new Mixed Medley stamp set with Staz-On ink on Window Sheet and punched it out with the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch. A glue dot in the center looks natural under the center of the web.

It's a window card, like thisPerfectly Preserved card I posted last week. We stamped the spider with Staz-On ink on the Window Sheet
and put it in between the two layers on front. The Spider Web was
embossed with an embossing folder and Big Shot and then we used a Sponge
Dauber to add some of the new Illuminate Glimmer Watermark ink to add some spooky sparkle.

Cookie Monster Punch Art
I love getting together with other demonstrators at our monthly group meetings. We have an amazing group of talented stampers and the swaps we trade are always incredible! I love this one from Mary Ellen Stites:
How clever to use a CD envelope to hold the cookie! And to protect the paper envelope from the grease of the cookie, Mary Ellen used the Big Shot Adhesive Sheets to adhere a sheet of Wax Paper to the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper to the inside of the back of the envelope!
Mary Ellen makes the BEST cookies, so I made sure to snap a photo the day after the meeting so I could eat the cookie. I was NOT disappointed. (Check out the recipe for the "Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie" that Mary Ellen posted on her blog.)
And finally, the punch art Cookie Monster...sooo cute! I was a Sesame Street kid and Cookie Monster was my favorite! C is for cookie, that's good enough for me! Is he still allowed to eat cookies or they have turned him into a veggie monster yet?

Perfectly Preserved Window Card
Check out this fun card we made in Stamp Club this month using the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and coordinating Cannery framelits!
I CASEd this idea from a swap card I got at Convention from Tammy Fite. I stamped the jar with Staz-On ink on the window sheet. I used the Cannery framelits to cut the hole for the jar on the card front and designer paper (to go on the inside) and then I slipped the stamped window sheet between the two layers. Before you do that, don't forget to stamp the apple through the opening to get it lined up right!
Stampin' Up! Supplies: Perfectly Preserved, More Mustard ink, Raspberry Ripple ink, Lucky Limeade ink & cardstock, Very Vanilla cardstock, Jet Black Staz-On ink, Window Sheets, Orchard Harvest Designer Paper, Cannery Set Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Small Oval Punch, , Early Espresso Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals

Core'dinations Card Stock Woodgrain Owl Card & Video Tutorial
There are so many great new products in the Stampin' Up! 2012 Holiday Catalog! One of my favorites is the new Core'dinations Card Stock. Unlike our regular card stock that is dyed throughout, the Core'dinations Cards Stock has a lighter interior. So when you tear it, or emboss and sand it, the lighter color shows through. It really adds a whole new dimension to your paper crafting projects! There are three colors available: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, and Gumball Green.
When you order from me between August 1-8, you'll get a FREE sampler of this amazing cardstock! You'll get three 4x6 pieces of each color (9 sheets total) so you can try it for yourself. When you purchase the Core'dinations Card Stock, you get 12 sheets each of 12x12 cardstock. Find it in my Online Store here.
Check out this card I made using the new Woodgrain Embossing Folder and Early Espresso Core'dinations Cardstock.
Watch my video tutorial to learn more about the Core'dinations Card Stock and sanding system that I used to make the background of this card:
Stampin' Up! Supplies: Embellished Events stamp set, Marina Mist ink & cardstock, Crumb Cake cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Early Espresso Core'dinations Card Stock, International Bazaar Designer Paper, Owl Builder Punch, Googlies, Woodgrain Embossing Folder (Big Shot), Stampin' Sanding System. Gold Brad, Stampin' Dimensionals

Update & Blog Candy Winners
Sorry for the blog silence! It was a busy week! I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but I was gone all week at my parents' house in Michigan. The older kids attended a day camp up there and I hung out at Mom & Dad's with the little ones. Between my four and my sister's three, there were seven kids all together in the house and with two of them sleeping on an air mattress in the stamp room...well, I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. I enjoyed the time with my family and visiting with some Michigan stamping friends (hi Kim & Brenda!!), but now I am back and ready to get back to daily posts and sharing! I shot two new videos today, so stay tuned for those!
I'm also working on a special project and hope to share more details of that in the next week or two! So excited!!
In the meantime, we have some catching up to do! Last week, I posted Blog Candy for my 1 Million Hits Blog Milestone. I used Random.org to select two winners to receive the Purse Your Art bags. Congratulations to our winners! Please email me your address so I can send your prize! My email address is julie@the-davisons.com.
