Whenever I have new products to play with, I often turn back to favorite card layouts to jumpstart my creative mojo. These tried and true "sketches" make it easy to just substitute new paper, colors, and images. Here are two new cards that I designed using a favorite layout from last summer. See more cards using this card layout.
I am loving the new 2021-2022 In Colors! I used Polished Pink and Evening Evergreen on this card. And paired the new Shaded Summer stamp set with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.
Here are the measurements I used for this card layout:
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Card Base
2-3/4" x 4-1/4" Background Layer
2-1/4" x 3-1/2" Focal Layer
1" x 4" Accent Strip

Welcome to the Stampin’ Creative Global Blog Hop! Currently you are visiting Julie Davison from the middle of the United States (Central Illinois to be exact!). This month, my friends from around the world and I are sharing projects with a masculine theme. How timely with Father's Day just around the corner!
We have a lot of great options for masculine cards, but the one that I chose for today's card is the Well Suited Suite from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. Did you know that the Well Suited designer paper was inspired by shirts and clothing from a Stampin' Up! staff member's real life closet? In fact, the "working" name for the designer paper was "Andy's Closet"!
Many of the patterns in this designer paper remind me of my own husband's shirts, especially this plaid pattern. I love it when Jim wears blue because it brings out his gorgeous blue eyes. I made this card to give to my handsome husband for Father's Day.
Measurements:
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Pacific Point Cardstock
(3) 1-1/4" x 4-1/4" Well Suited Designer Paper
2-1/2" x 2-1/2" Basic Black Cardstock
2-1/2" x 3-1/2" Basic White Cardstock (to die cut label)
That's all from me today! Thank you for visiting! For now, it's time to carry on with the blog hop and see what other amazing masculine-themed projects my Stampin' friends from around the world have created!

Whether you are a regular visitor or just hopping by, welcome to Julie's Stamping Spot! I'm so excited to be participating in the Top Ten International Highlights Winner’s Blog Hop May 2021 hosted by Kylie Bertucci! First, I want to thank you for taking the time to vote for my card in the gallery a couple of weeks ago. There were so many amazing projects and I am honored to have my card receive so many votes!
The theme for this month's hop is Thanks. For this month's card, I turned to the new Annual Catalog for inspiration. Each time there is a new catalog, I challenge my team to "CASE" the Catalog. Have you heard of CASEing? It's an acronym that essentially means "copying". Some people design it as "Copy And Steal Everything" or "Copy And Share Everything". I prefer to define it as "Copy And Selectively Edit" -- meaning, take the elements you love and make some selective edits to make it your own.
In this instance, however, I straight up copied almost EVERYTHING about the card from page 80 of the Annual Catalog! I love it just the way it is and the only thing I changed was the sentiment. There is definitely something about creating samples from the catalog that make them come to life! Here's my card:
I love this little trick from the catalog to clip the plant holder and customize the die cut! I never would have thought to do this on my own! There is so much creative inspiration in the new catalog!
I stamped the inside of the card too! I can't wait to play with this bundle some more!
Watch me create this card -- and see more cards that I've CASEd from the new Annual Catalog in the replay of my Thursday Night Stamp Therapy Facebook Live from May 6:

The Flowering Cactus Product Medley in the January-June Mini Catalog is like a mini suite. It includes a stamp set and die bundle, designer paper, and coordinating embellishments (stitched felt and twine). I love the look of this all-in-one set but haven't done much with it...until last week! I featured the Flowering Cactus Product Medley in last weeks' Thursday Night Stamp Therapy. Here are some of the cards that I made:
