Hello Life Valentine Half Sheet Treat Box

I designed this treat box as one of the make and takes at our team meeting on Friday. It's so easy to make and only takes a half sheet of cardstock! I love how the new Confetti Hearts Border Punch gives a peak at the goodies inside.

Grab some cardstock and your Paper Trimmer or Simply Scored Tool and watch my video tutorial from last winter to learn how to make this easy box. You can use this basic box for any occasion! (See more samples.)

Here's how to make the Half Sheet Treat Box:

1. Start with a piece of cardstock that measures 8-1/2" x 5-1/2". 
2. Score at 1-1/2", 4", 5-1/2", and 8". 
3. Turn 90 degrees and score at 1-1/2". 
4. Cut on the score lines up to the 1-1/2" score line. Completely remove the tab at the end.
5. Fold on all the score lines. Use Sticky Strip or Fast Fuse to adhere the box together.

Santa Half Sheet Treat Box Tutorial

It's Day 10 in our 12 Days of Christmas for the kids' teachers. (See more 12 Days of Christmas projects.) According to our schedule, we were supposed to make ornaments, but the kids didn't get them done, so I whipped up these little treat boxes with peppermint candies.

I used the Half Sheet Treat Box template that I made up last winter. Grab a half sheet of cardstock and your Paper Trimmer or Simply Scored Tool and watch my video tutorial to learn how to make this box:

I used Real Red cardstock for the Santa box with a 3/4" wide belt and the Curvy Label Punch with Silver Glimmer Paper for the belt buckle. A 3/4" piece of black cardstock on top of the glimmer paper makes it look like the belt is looped through the buckle. I packaged the boxes in a Gussetted Cello Bag and tied it with some retired ribbon from my stash.

Witches' Brew "Half Sheet Treat Box"

Here is one of the extra Halloween treat packages that I showed on ciLiving on Monday. This one was super easy! I used the same template as my "Half Sheet Treat Box", except I cut a piece of Witches' Brew Designer Paper. The paper is sturdy enough to hold the box form, but it since it wasn't as heavy as the cardstock, I was able to pinch in the sides and fold down the top for a bit of a different look.

VIDEO: Half Sheet Treat Box Tutorial

I created a winter version of the Half Sheet Treat Box that I posted earlier this week. (See it here.) There's no need for a special die, this box is made with just a half sheet of cardstock and all you need is your Stampin' Trimmer or Simply Scored Tool to make a few score lines. Don't worry! I have a template and a video tutorial for you to refer to!

TIP: Use the Heat Tool to dry and set the silver ink to avoid smudges.
