Yesterday I posted a new card layout and two different cards using that layout. I find that card layouts are a great starting point when I feel "stuck" in my stamp room. For today's card, I pulled out a card layout that I used last fall.

Paisleys and Posies Collage Panel Card

I finished mailing out the September Stamp of the Month Club kits this week and realized that I never posted the third card.

I stamped a collage of elements from the Paisleys and Posies images and then cut it apart into three 1-1/4" panels. It kind of looks like designer paper and you certainly could substitute a piece of designer paper to create a similar card. (Stock up on Designer Paper in October: Buy 3 packs Get 1 Free! VIDEO: Peek-a-Boo Flip Card Tutorial with Paisleys & Posies

I have been having so much fun with the Peek-a-boo Flip cards! I was inspired by several cards, including one by Gillian Whitcombe but all of the instructions I found were in centimeters or were different sizes, so I kind of figured out the measurements for my card on my own! You won't need to hunt down the measurements for this one because I've created a video tutorial to show you how to make it!

And once you start making Peek-a-Boo flip cards, you won't be able to stop! (See my Halloween Peek-a-boo Flip Card and my Christmas Peek-a-boo Flip Card.)

 

The photo above shows both the front of the card and the inside. The cool thing about this card is the movement. When you open the card, the image in the window changes. The photo doesn't do it justice! Check out my video tutorial to see how this card moves and learn how to make it at home.

VIDEO: Woodland Embossing Folder Techniques with Ink

As promised, I made a video showing some different techniques with the Woodland Embossing Folder. This card is my favorite. I actually made it back in August, but I was waiting to post it until the Woodland Embossing Folder wasn't on backorder. Well, it's still on backorder, but it's also on the Retiring List, so don't wait to get it because it WILL sell out!

For this card, I inked up the folder with Pool Party ink to make the sky. Then I added some punched flowers to create this spring card. See? It's not just for autumn and winter!

AW41 Hello...Goodbye! Color Challenge

I am a little late with posting my card for the May 15 Around the World Challenge blog, but I didn't want to miss it because after much discussion, we have decided to stop doing the challenges. I have greatly enjoyed the last two years of crafting with our amazing design team made up of demonstrators from around the world. Make sure to click over and check out their beautiful projects here. Our final challenge is a color challenge: Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, and Crisp Cantaloupe. Here's my card:

I was using the Lullaby Designer Paper for another project and noticed a pattern with Crisp Cantaloupe and Hello Honey watercolor dots. I used a stamp from the Petal Potpourri stamp set to add Lost Lagoon dots and alter the designer paper to be a perfect match for this challenge.

July Stamp of the Month Club: Choose Happiness

I'm having a blast at Convention! After a late evening class, I finished up some swaps and gifts for tomorrow and it's too late to upload pictures. Check back for my Convention Report! Instead, I have a new card to share and the Stamp of the Month reveal!

For my July Stamp of the Month Club, I am featuring the new "Choose Happiness" stamp set from the Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog. It's not my usual style, but in an effort to offer a variety in my club, I stretched a little out of my comfort zone. I'm happy with the results! Here's the first card.

I was inspired by a card created by Alison Stachera (see it here) in which she used the banner piece to create a fence. Brilliant! Instead of cutting it out, I just stamped the banners next to each other.

World of Dreams Catalog CASE

I'm not the best at sending cards on time, but I try to send them even if they are a few weeks...or months late. Last week, I made this card to give to my grandmother for Mother's Day...which was six weeks ago. Since she loves to re-use my cards, I skipped the Mother's Day greeting and wrote my message on a notecard that I tucked inside.

I CASEd (copied) this card exactly from one in the catalog on page 127. I knew my grandmother would love all the details like the ribbon and Antique brads and the collage stamping. And of course, she did love it! She already has a plan to send it to her friend!
