The projects at our Spring Into Stamping demonstrator seminar were well-rounded. We did two cards, a 3-D item, and a scrapbook page. I tried to design them so that they could be re-used in workshops or clubs. I especially had this in mind when I designed the 12x12 scrapbook page.
Here it is with pictures from Convention 2008:
The journaling says: "What could be better than a tax-deductible trip to Salt Lake City for Convention? Going with my friends!! Aug 2008"
I started the page with the 6x6 page -- I find it helps to break down a 12x12 layout and make it a little easier and less intimidating. The 6x6 page would be perfect to use as a workshop make and take and then you could demonstrate how to turn it into a larger, 12x12 page and give that to the hostess.
I am always thinking of my workshop guests though and many of them don't scrapbook, so I try to design a 6x6 make and take so that it can be folded in half and also turned into a card. So here's the card version of the page and they both use the same pieces of cardstock and DSP.
Oh! I almost forgot! The little tag uses a combination of the two greetings from the Great Friend stamp set. This was another little tip from Hawaii (can't remember if it was Brent or Pam...). Using the stamp-a-ma-jig is a MUST here -- ink up the "you" from "for you" in pink and stamp it and then add the "make good times great" from the other greeting -- make sure to NOT ink the 's' on "makes" so that you're grammatically correct! The little tag is from the Matchbox die.
One last tip: Stamp your title out on your grid paper first. Then you can line up your cardstock above (or below) in and stamp on the cardstock with your grid paper as a guide -- then you can center (or off-set) your title perfectly without having too much space before or after.
Supplies: Great Friend, Big Deal Alphabet, So Saffron ink & cardstock, Pretty in Pink marker/ink & cardstock, Kiwi Kiss ink, Whisper White cardstock, Basic Black marker, Walk in the Park DSP, Matchbox die for the Big Shot, Stamp-a-ma-jig, 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, 1" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch
