Cincinnati Regional Seminar Demonstration

I was so wiped out from the seminar on Saturday and this head cold that I completely missed posting last night. In fact, as soon as the kids went to bed, I crashed on the couch. Sorry for my weekend of silence! I'm back with a few pictures from the seminar.

My demonstration went well (i.e. I didn't flub anything on stage!) despite the fact that I was a bundle of nerves all morning. At least I was the first "Workshop Wow" presentation and got it over and done with. I felt so much relief walking down the stairs from the stage!

When I was done, Shelli came on stage and thanked me and handed me this card, created by someone at the Home Office.

Isn't it darling? The flower is made from the 5-Petal Flower Punch. It's hard to see in the picture, but they did the faux suede technique, where you weaken the fibers of the cardstock and then tear it apart (creating two sides that have kind of a rough-looking texture). The ends of the flower petals were curled up and a jumbo silver brad was put in the middle. (The thank you stamp and polka dot square come from the "For All You Do" stamp set.)

It was a really great seminar. If you're a demonstrator and weren't able to attend, you'll be able to purchase the DVD of the entire seminar and I highly recommend it. The presentations by Stampin' Up! staff were terrific and a highlight for me was demonstrator Ronda Wade's workshop presentation. I plan to buy the DVD just to watch that again!

Unfortunately, it sounds like the Workshop Wow demonstrations won't make it on that DVD, so I'll be sharing all of my projects and instructions for the "Magic Card" in the next week or so. Here's a sneak peek of my cards on the display board.

Oh, I was wondering what that thank you card looked like. It's beautiful. You did a wonderful job presenting and didn't act nervous at all. I loved the cards you presented. So clever!
