Pocket Sketch Challenge #10: Guy Greetings Card

It's time for another chance to win! I have a new sketch and a new challenge for you this week. This layout is great for small images. I used the shoes from the Guy Greetings stamp set to create this masculine card. I often pull my color combinations from designer paper. For this card, I picked Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, and Very Vanilla.

Sale-a-Bration Flowering Fields Card + Sketch Challenge Reminder

Saturday got swallowed up in basketball games and an archery tournament across the state ending with dinner out with my in-laws and a late bedtime for the kids. Whew! I'll post that new video on Sunday, so be sure to check back.

Pocket Sketch Challenge #9: Build a Birthday Card

There's nothing like a little stomach bug to derail your week! I'm finally feeling better and trying to get caught up again.

The first cards that I created with this sketch used stamp sets that are now retired, so I had to make new ones when I finally finished the book last summer. I love the bright colors in the Cherry on Top Designer paper. The polka dot pattern makes this birthday card so fun!

Pocket Sketch Challenge #8: Sprinkles of Life Card

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the last Pocket Sketch Challenge! It was so hard to pick a favorite because I loved them all for different reasons! Pocket Sketch Challenge #7: Zoo Babies Circles Card

Do you ever sit down to make a card and don't know where to start? I love using card layouts (aka sketches) to create cards because that's one less thing I have to thing about. I can choose the stamp set and colors and plug it into a layout that I know will work and feel success in creating cards on my own.

2 Challenges, 1 Tea-riffic Card: Coloring on Designer Paper

I wanted to make one more card for my Pocket Sketch Challenge. Today is the last day to participate in Pocket Sketch Challenge #6! Be sure to post your card by tonight. If you aren't sure how or need some help, you can send your card to me via email and I will post it for you! Tomorrow I'll post the winner -- who will get a free copy of my Pocket Full of Sketches card layout book.

I combined my sketch with the new Global Design Project color challenge to create this card.

The colors this week are the same as the colors in the Have A Cuppa Designer Paper Stack, so I used that as a starting point. However, none of the paper designs I had left were working on my card, so I took the white paper with heart outlines and colored them with markers to custom the designer paper.
